Ma recherche porte sur la prévalence et les déterminants potentiels des allergies alimentaires et des anaphylaxies (réactions allergiques graves) chez les enfants. En outre, j'ai établi un registre visant à évaluer les facteurs déclenchants et les traitements des différentes formes de l'urticaire chronique ou des éruptions urticariennes. Je conduis également des travaux de recherche sur le déficit immunitaire primaire, explorant la capacité du système immunitaire des enfants à combattre la maladie infectieuse. En collaboration avec la docteure Ann Clarke de l'Hôpital général de Montréal du CUSM, j'ai entrepris la première étude canadienne à l'échelle nationale, afin de déterminer la prévalence des allergies alimentaires graves. Les résultats montrent des divergences entre les allergies alimentaires perçues et celles confirmées, qui pourraient contribuer au large éventail des estimations de la prévalence des allergies, qui sont publiées dans des revues scientifiques. Ces dernières années, j'ai dirigé le premier registre pancanadien sur l'anaphylaxie, examinant le fardeau sociétal, les déclencheurs, le traitement et l'histoire naturelle de l'anaphylaxie chez les Canadiens.Membre de l'équipe
