My research interests are especially centred on innovating HIV care through stakeholder engagement and the use of patient-centred mobile health technologies. I am currently developing a new patient-reported outcome measure for electronic administration during routine HIV care focused on patient-identified barriers to adhering to antiretroviral therapy. In partnership with developers of the Opal patient portal, I am adapting Opal for use in both HIV and COVID-19 follow-up. Furthermore, with a team from the Polytechnique de Montréal, I am creating a chatbot to conversationally help answer pragmatic questions people living with HIV may have about their antiretroviral therapy. The patient experience of HIV care is also a prominent theme of my research, including among HIV-positive newcomers to Quebec. My research program is affiliated with my CIHR Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) Mentorship Chair, which enables trainees to gain experience with stakeholder engagement in research.Team Members
