IDIGH-CRP Joint Research Day: A Step Towards Vision 2030
The IDIGH-CRP Joint Research Day was directly inspired by the Institute’s ambitious Vision 2030, presented last fall by Dr. Ryan Touyz. Since the 2015 opening of the Glen site, both the IDIGH and CRP programs have been at the forefront of their respective fields, consistently delivering impactful events like research days, symposia, and workshops.
On January 28, 2025, despite the biting cold, IDIGH trainees gathered at the McGill University Faculty Club to discuss career paths. As usual, program co-leader Ciro Piccirillo was the first to arrive to welcome the participants. Soon after, the organizing team Rojine McVea, Cal Koger-Pease, Andressa Brito Lira, Sanya Kapoor, Maysaloun Mokaddam, Vicky Barrera, and Eric Béliveau joined to finalize the preparations for a busy day ahead.
The 2025 IDIGH Holiday Celebration was a wonderful success, bringing together IDIGH members for a time filled with holiday cheer, delicious food, and creative fun. The event was made possible through the hard work of the CREC Committee, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this gathering special.
The IDIGH Program's Research Day, held on April 30, 2024 at the Research Institute of the MUHC, was a great success, bringing together over 200 students and researchers for a day of high-level scientific exchange. The event, organized in the context of Immunization Week, highlighted the crucial importance of vaccination and immunization research for public health.
The 7th IDIGH Research Day was eagerly awaited this year after three years of absence from the premises of the RI-MUHC. Sunlight was already beaming into the atrium of the RI-MUHC as students from the student committee were setting up the site early in the morning with some excitement to receive nearly 200 guests.
