The IDIGH program website was primarily designed to inform its members and to facilitate the organization and promotion of its scientific and social activities. It therefore serves as a showcase for exhibiting the achievements of its members and the research themes of the program. A secure section also allows the program administrators and members to manage program activities or find information about internal procedures efficiently.
General Guidelines
Language quality
The IDIGH program website is bilingual, all information must appear in both French and English. The spelling, phrase structure and grammar of texts must be of high quality in both languages, it is unacceptable to use an automatic translation tool.
Intellectual property
Authors and administrators must ensure that they do not infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights. Images, videos, screenshots and text from news sites, Twitter, Facebook and other social networks are not permitted unless permission has been obtained from the original author (permission must be retained for the time that the article is online). The IDIGH site mainly uses images from the public domain or created by its members. It is forbidden to use these without authorization outside the activities of the IDIGH program. In the case of seminars and conferences, the presenter must provide their own photo. It is allowed to share the promotional posters without restrictions or modifying them. The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Center and the organizations in which the persons named in a text are involved may reproduce and share this same text by indicating that it comes from idigh.ca.
Type of content
The distribution of information must be relevant and linked to the activities of the program. Sensitive information such as the mailing list, contact list and procedures that are not intended for the general public must be protected in the secure section of the website.
Security
Information from the secured section of the website in which selected members have access should not be shared with other members or the general public. It is also important to use a strong password with double authentication (temporary code sent by email or generated by software) or a security key. Although the website has a secure section not accessible to the general public, it is not designed to store highly sensitive data. For these, please use tools certified or provided by the RI-MUHC.
Distribution list
When emailing members of the Program, you must respect the rights of all individuals to unsubscribe from all non-essential communications. A link to the email preferences page should be included in your emails giving individuals the option to unsubscribe. It is also mandatory to use the BCC tab when sending mass emails to ensure the privacy of all email recipients. The email list is constantly changing (especially member preferences), you must use the address selector tool for each email you send. It is strictly forbidden to share the email list.
Responsibilities
Information on the IDIGH Program website should be used responsibly and only in connection with program activities, it is prohibited to use it for personal gain. It is also your responsibility to not abuse the services offered, for example to use information for the purpose of harm or to obtain undue advantages. In the event of non-compliance with the terms of use, your access to the website may be revoked.
