The 2025 IDIGH Holiday Celebration was a wonderful success, bringing together IDIGH members for a time filled with holiday cheer, delicious food, and creative fun. The event was made possible through the hard work of the CREC Committee, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this gathering special.
Ornament decoration contest
A standout feature of the celebration was the ornament decoration contest. Participants showcased their artistic talents by decorating a variety of beautiful ornaments, and the results were impressive. We would like to extend a special thank you to Cal Koger-Pease, a CREC member, for sourcing and bringing all the necessary tools and supplies for the activity. The decorated ornaments not only added a festive touch to the event but also gave attendees the opportunity to embrace their creativity and celebrate the season.
In addition to the fun of decorating, we held a contest to recognize the best-decorated ornaments, with prizes awarded to the top three winners for their exceptional creativity and effort.
Delicious Mocktails
CREC co-president, Elsa Cousineau, prepared a delightful assortment of refreshing mocktails that were thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees. Elsa’s drinks provided a delicious and festive alternative to traditional holiday beverages, adding a special touch to the event.
Celebrating Teamwork and Community
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped decorate the space, making it a warm and inviting setting for our celebration.
A special thank you goes to Maysaloun for capturing the spirit of the event through photos and sharing them on social media, allowing those who could not attend to experience the festivities.
We also want to thank all the IDIGH members who attended, brought delicious dishes to share, and helped make the event a success. Your participation fostered a strong sense of community and collaboration, and we are grateful for your contributions.
Finally, we would like to recognize the hard work of Rojine McVea (CREC Co-president), Joel Ishak, and all the members of the CREC Committee for organizing such a wonderful celebration. We look forward to more opportunities to come together and celebrate our IDIGH community in the future.
