The microbiology and immunology department hosted a Gala last Friday. Several of our IDIGH students and faculty received awards:
- Dr. Momar Ndao: Teaching Award and Best Professorial Anecdote Award
- Adam Hassan (Dr. Ndao and Dr. Ward labs): Graduate Mentorship Award
- Morgan Gold (Dr. Ndao lab): Undergraduate Student of the Year
- Andrea Vucetic (Dr. Olivier lab): Graduate Student of the Year

The Not Your Average Gala is hosted by the Microbiology and Immunology department and the Microbiology and Immunology Student Association. This annual formal reception is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, teaching faculty, and staff to be recognized for their achievements and contributions to the department, and to celebrate a successful year.
